The Ulytau Educational Foundation invites teachers of science and mathematics subjects from schools participating in the “Ustaz Ulytau” project to take part in a professional competition on implementing the CLIL methodology
Who is the competition for? Teachers of mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, and other science-related subjects who are ready to teach their subject in English (excluding English language teachers).
Purpose of the competition – support for pedagogical innovation – development of trilingual education – enhancement of teachers’ professional status – creation of original CLIL lessons that can be implemented in schools across Kazakhstan
What needs to be done? – Develop a CLIL lesson in your subject area – Prepare a presentation (up to 10 slides) – Record a video presentation/defense (up to 3 minutes) – Present the work in English
Competition timeline: Registration: January 20–25, 2026 Submission of entries: January 20 – February 5, 2026 (until 6:00 PM) Evaluation period: February 6–16, 2026 Award ceremony: April 23, 2026
Awards: Winners and prize recipients will receive certificates of achievement and valuable prizes. All participants will be awarded certificates.
