38 School Students Became Winners of the Kanysh Satpayev International Olympiad
The International Chemistry Olympiad named after Kanysh Satpayev has concluded in the Ulytau region among students of grades 9–11.
Around 100 talented students from all regions of Kazakhstan, as well as from the Russian Federation and the Kyrgyz Republic, took part. A total of 38 prize places were awarded.
Diplomas of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan were awarded as follows:
1st degree — 7 winners
2nd degree — 12 prize-winners
3rd degree — 19 participants
The absolute winner of the Olympiad was Igor Ustinov from the Russian Federation.
Chair of the Organizing Committee Raisa Yeshimova praised the participants’ high level of preparation and interest in science:
“This Olympiad is not just a competition — it is an investment in the future of science. Today’s victory marks the beginning of a long scientific journey.”
The team of the Russian Federation received the Best Olympic Team award and the traveling cup established by the Embassy of Canada.
Four winners received rector’s grants from Satbayev University and Pavlodar Pedagogical University. All prize-winners received valuable gifts from Kazakhmys Corporation.
